Book Club Take 2

Ok so reading the “Dancing at the Rascal Fair” did not work very well for me. I started to read the book I was eight pages in. When the voice in my head was making me think of other things. I then sat there trying to figure out what I had just read. I was in a state of complete confusion. Now I am not sure if this is because of my learning disability, or if this book is just simply over my head; because a few of the ladies in book club really liked the book.

Anyway I am going to make a second attempt at book club our next book is "The Glass Castle". This was recommended by an old friend in a book club in Utah and all the ladies decided this is our next read. So here goes, it will be interesting to see how I do on this one.

You know what Shanna, sometimes when I read something it simply doesn't stick or sink in. I think it's because it doesn't interest me. So if a book doesn't grab you, it might be just that. I think great writers choose words and construct the language that is easy to understand and accept. Otherwise, it's painful to try to get through. I've been known to throw books across the room just because the writing is over complicated.

Hope you enjoy this book! Uncle Richard and Aunt Gail have both read it and enjoyed it. It is on my list of books to read.
